US&S: Turning Values into Visual Experiences

Client Overview
US&S is a trusted facility service provider with more than two decades of experience delivering janitorial and operations & maintenance (O&M) solutions to clients across the Southeast.
Driven by a deep dedication to people, US&S’ work goes beyond maintaining buildings; they strive to support and uplift the individuals and communities they serve.
At the heart of US&S are their core values — family focus, integrity, safety, performance, stewardship, and quality. Their leadership-first approach ensures these values aren't just words on a wall, but lived principles that guide every decision and interaction. Their authentic commitment to service, ownership, and doing what's right has become the foundation of their company culture and the driving force behind their continued growth and success.
Bringing the US&S Brand to Life in a New Space
US&S’ headquarters was moving into a newly renovated office building — an ambitious project the company proudly executed themselves, acting both as their own general contractor and their own very hands-on renovation team. While the expansive new interior offered a blank canvas brimming with potential, it still lacked the personality, energy, and cohesion that embodied the US&S spirit. The management knew they wanted more than just a functional office; they envisioned a workspace that would authentically reflect the spirit of US&S, not only through the renovation itself but in every detail that would define the experience long after the project was complete.
With this ambition in mind, Waypost established three critical objectives to guide every design decision:
Shifting from a “Design Project” to
Building a Brand Experience
Design Rooted in Discovery
At Waypost, we typically begin each new engagement with a Discovery Project, where we learn the company inside and out — who they are, what they stand for, who their target audience is, what their target audience needs, market differentiators, etc. This step is no less important in a design project! We believe that design isn’t about simply imposing aesthetic preferences, but about translating a company’s unique DNA into visual experiences.
Through these Discovery discussions, we witnessed firsthand US&S’ passion for their brand and their commitment to embedding their values into everything they do. The insights from the Discovery process became the foundation of every decision that followed, ensuring that each design element was intentional rather than being guided by trends or personal taste.

Brand Identity Refinement
Recognizing that the new physical space needed to align perfectly with US&S' brand identity, we first worked with their leadership team to re-establish and strengthen their core brand elements. This foundational work included:
- Refining US&S’ tone and voice to guide how the brand interacts with their audience
- Developing a cohesive color palette that conveyed their personality
- Updating iconography to reflect a more modern, consistent identity
- Establishing brand guidelines to inform both interior design and future marketing materials
This brand refinement helped clarify what US&S wanted people to feel the moment they walked through the door.
Collaboration from Start to Finish
Throughout the project, we maintained close collaboration with US&S’ leadership to ensure every detail was informed by their perspective and aligned with their vision. This collaborative approach included executive interviews and site visits during renovation to stay closely in sync with the evolving space and leadership goals.
In parallel, Waypost also coordinated directly with vendors and installers to ensure seamless execution within the renovation timeline, handling everything from print and material specifications to file preparation, asset transfer, and scheduling for delivery and installation. This hands-on partnership ensured seamless execution and guaranteed that the final result truly reflected US&S' vision. By maintaining open communication channels and involving key stakeholders at every milestone, we were able to navigate challenges quickly and make real-time adjustments that enhanced the overall outcome and the team’s satisfaction.

Waypost approached this project not as a typical design engagement, but as a strategic opportunity to strengthen our brand from the inside out.
Through their thorough Discovery process and close collaboration with our leadership team, Waypost helped us articulate our brand identity in ways we hadn’t previously explored. The finished space is cohesive, inspiring, and aligned with every element of our company’s vision and values.
