Sara Gilstrap, Director of Growth & Client Success

As the Director of Growth and Client Success, I’m responsible for overseeing Waypost’s marketing strategy, driving business development, and ensuring our clients have successful HubSpot onboarding, training, and consulting experiences. I’m also responsible for finding ways to close the HubSpot CRM adoption gap for our clients and helping them to fully utilize the tools that they are paying for. I work closely with our clients’ sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and drive growth.

I have a pretty eclectic background in both sales and marketing that has allowed me to bring a lot of unique professional experience to my position at Waypost. When I sit down with sales and marketing teams, I can relate to pain points on both sides and help them come together. One of  my greatest accomplishments at Waypost has been creating our Sales and Marketing Alignment Workshop and developing our new HubSpot webinar series (reach out to me if you’re interested in learning more about either!). 

I want my clients to know that when I give them advice, it’s backed by years of experience and an abundance of industry research. When I make recommendations for new tools or new projects, it’s because I truly believe it’s what’s best for the client and not just vying for a monthly spend increase. That’s what being a trustworthy marketer means to me – encouraging clients to make sound strategic moves while sometimes having to push back on ideas that might not be in their best interest.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time watching my daughter play golf. As a mama of a highschooler, I’m savoring the last couple years before becoming an empty nester. I’m highly involved in the Eastside High School athletic booster club, so you can usually find me in a concession booth, planning a fundraising event, or cheering on student-athletes at some sporting event.
